Three puck sensors go under the sink, behind the washing machine and next to the boiler; a motorised valve goes on the main. Water touches a puck, the valve closes within four seconds, and your phone rings - in that order, because a message you read an hour later is not a solution. The valve exercises itself monthly so it is not seized when it matters, and a manual lever overrides everything.
